Broadway Performer to Help Local Students Prepare for Musical Performance

Students have something exciting to look forward to as they eagerly await auditions for Seven Star School’s Spring Musical, Peter Pan JR.

Broadway performer, Michelle Aravena will be a guest director and choreographer for these local students.  On December 1st, Ms. Aravena opened in the new musical “A Bronx Tale” co-directed by Robert De Niro. See NY Times Review here.

Ms. Aravena’s Broadway credits include Rocky (Angie), Jersey Boys and A Chorus Line. She was awarded the 2015 Joseph Jefferson Equity Award for her portrayal of Anita in Chicago’s Drury Lane Production of West Side Story.

Having someone with Ms. Aravena’s experience and enthusiasm providing her input will inspire students. The production will be co-directed and choreographed by Nicole Aravena & Williams Coates with Lisa Lombardo as musical director and performed at Brewster High School's Performing Arts Center in May.

Auditions will be held on December 17, 2016 and audition appointments are still available.  Seven Star School is located at 509 Route 312 in Brewster. For more information, visit them at www.SevenStarSchool.com or call 845.278.0728.
