Brewster Pastry Warms the Holiday Season with Delectable Delights

For many of us, holiday memories include an unending variety of special sweets, confections and baked goods.  As I walked into Brewster Pastry, the aroma of fresh breads, cakes, cookies and an assortment of the most delectable pastries drifted to greet me. The cheerful atmosphere compliments the kindhearted and jovial owner and head baker, Thierry Danvin.

Soon to be celebrating their 10th anniversary, Brewster Pastry has become the place to go for a special event, tasty gift or an everyday treat.  What makes them so special? “We use only the finest ingredients”, explains Theirry, “and we bake everything on the premises.” The other reason is his extensive and impressive experience. Their local loyal customers keep returning to Brewster Pastry because they know they will receive the best quality bakery items in the area.

Thierry grew up in France where he trained as an apprentice. After honing his skills, Thierry accepted a position with Club Med and was eventually promoted to the position of Chef Boulanger & Patissier. After his promotion Thierry went on to train bakers of all nationalities in the art of French baking. His position with Club Med involved working in many countries such as France, Italy, Israel, Switzerland, Brazil, Australia, and the Caicos Islands where he met his wife.  They moved to the area and Thierry set up his shop. His kitchen is well equipped because he continues to invest in new machinery.

The holiday season is very busy for Thierry and his staff.  In addition to himself, he has a manager, pastry chef, baker and a few seasonal employees with his three children lending a hand.  Wedding and communion seasons are other busy times of year. And it is no wonder; Thierry can customize your cake and design it to make your wishes come true.

Thierry changes his menu every year to keep things lively and exciting. They specialize in cakes, cookies, pastries, croissants, danish, and coffee cakes.  He offers seasonal items like his famous peach cake in the summer months. But let’s get back to the holidays. Right now you can order from a variety of over 40 types of cookies at $18 per pound that can be artfully arranged in a festive platter. A traditional Christmas Log Cake for $29 and a special Kings Cake for $29.  Over the 5 days prior to Christmas, they will bake hundreds of pounds of pastries!  There are many other holiday treats and I suggest stopping by to place your order as soon as possible.

Up until Christmas Eve, Brewster Pastry is open from 8am – 6pm. They usually close at 2pm on Sunday and are closed on Mondays.
