Update on Brewster Library Construction

The Phase 1 construction project is finishing up at the library! The side entrance has been reopened with the new walkway and outdoor seating area. There will be a ribbon cutting celebration on Saturday, June 30th at 11am. All are invited to attend; light refreshments will be served. At noon that day, the library will be having their summer program kick-off event, featuring Jester Jim! People of all ages are sure to enjoy this interactive show. For more information about this and other events at the library, visit www.brewsterlibrary.org and click on “calendar.”

We are excited to move on to the larger construction project (Phase 2) which was approved by voters of the Town of Southeast. At this time, Phase 2 is in the planning stage; however, the hope is that we will break ground this fall. This project includes renovations to the existing building, as well as the addition of a large community room, private tutor/study rooms, and enlarged children/teen spaces. We are looking forward to providing enhanced services to the community when this phase is complete.
