The next Community Meeting for the Superintendent Search is November 5, 2018 at 9:00 AM at BHS' Innovative Learning Center
The following letter was released by the BCSD Board of Education on October 20
Dear Members of our Brewster Community:
The Board of Education has begun the search for our next Superintendent of Schools. We have retained the services of Putnam Northern Westchester BOCES to assist us with this important process.
We are committed to a transparent and inclusive process. One that will include the insights and opinions from all members of our school district and community. We will be specifically seeking input on the qualities and characteristics for our next Superintendent as well as the opportunities and challenges that lie ahead for our district in order to best position us to successfully move forward into the future.
To allow the opportunity for all voices to be heard, we have arranged both in-person meetings and an online survey. All residents, parents, students, employees of the school district, administrators, community organizations and senior groups are encouraged to attend one of the meetings listed below. Community members who are unable to attend in-person can still provide input via the online survey we have created. The survey, along with the search timeline calendar and other information related to the search, will be available under the Superintendent Search Tab on our School District’s Home Page at www.brewsterschools.org.
We would like to encourage everyone to actively participate in this very important process. Our next Superintendent will be tasked with maintaining and promoting our District, along with meeting the many educational needs of our diverse student population. The Board firmly believes that only by coming together as a community can we be successful in completing this critical task.
