Brewster Theater Announces Auditions for Adults and Teens

The Brewster Theater Company announces auditions for the first cabaret of its 2019 season, Broadway Bound II Cabaret for Teens and Tweens, directed by Pam DeHuff. Audition date is Sunday, February 3rd, from 2-6 pm at The Theater at Drew United Methodist Church, 28 Gleneida Ave, Carmel, NY 10512.  Rehearsals are Wednesdays, March 13th, 20th, and 27th. Performances are Friday, March 29th and Saturday, March 30th at 7:30pm.

 

Please come prepared with sheet music in your own key to sing a song from the style and theme of the cabaret. An accompanist will be available. No appointment necessary. Visit brewstertheatercompany.org or contact BrewsterTheaterInfo@gmail.com.


The Brewster Theater Company announces auditions for its second mainstage production of its 2019 season, And A Nightingale Sang by C.P. Taylor, directed by Christopher Gladysz and produced by Joe Manuele. Audition dates are Friday, February 8, from 7 - 10pm, and Saturday, February 9, from 2 - 6pm at The Theater at Drew United Methodist Church, 28 Gleneida Ave, Carmel, NY 10512.  Performances are May 3 - 11, 2019.

A comedic drama, And a Nightingale Sang follows the course of World War II as experienced by a working-class family in Newcastle. Filled with humor, the play explores the family's personal relationships, preoccupations, troubles and joys, and is a rich, warm picture of home life in wartime.
