Representative Sean Patrick Maloney (NY-18) announced that his office is now accepting applications from students interested in attending one of our nation’s service academies. Prospective students must submit their applications by Thursday, October 31, 2019.
“Not only do I have the privilege of representing our cadets and servicemembers at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, but every year I have the honor of nominating outstanding students from the Hudson Valley to become the military leaders of the future,” said Rep. Sean Patrick Maloney. “Service Academies like West Point provide students with an outstanding education and prepare our cadets for a life of leadership and service.”
A Congressional nomination is required for students interested in attending the following academies:
- United States Military Academy (USMA) – West Point, NY
- United States Naval Academy (USNA) – Annapolis, MD
- United States Air Force Academy (USAFA) – Colorado Springs, CO
- United States Merchant Marine Academy (USMMA) – King’s Point, NY
Students applying to the United States Coast Guard Academy in New London do not need a Congressional nomination.
Interested students must submit their completed applications to Rep. Maloney’s district office at 123 Grand Street in Newburgh, NY 12550 (2nd Floor), no later than Thursday, October 31, 2019. All applicants who have submitted their completed application materials will be contacted to schedule their interview with Rep. Maloney’s Service Academy Selection Board.
