Maloney Personally Delivers Thousands of Valentines to Hudson Valley Veterans Across New York’s 18th Congressional District

Today, Rep. Sean Patrick Maloney (NY-18) personally delivered thousands of Valentine’s Day cards to Hudson Valley veterans at the Castle Point VA Medical Center in Wappingers Falls and the VFW Hall in Beacon. Valentines were also delivered to local Veterans Service Organizations and nursing homes. This marks the seventh consecutive year that veterans across the Hudson Valley will receive Valentine’s Day greetings through Maloney’s Valentines for Veterans program.

“My dad was a disabled Navy veteran, so making sure we honor our veterans with appreciation and action is personal to me,” said Rep. Sean Patrick Maloney. “After nearly a year of social distancing and physical isolation, it’s more important than ever that we reach out to Hudson Valley’s veteran community to give them the recognition and love they deserve. This is just one small way to remind our vets that we’re behind them. Thank you to everyone across our region who helped bring a smile to a veteran’s face this year.”

“Rep. Maloney’s Valentines for Veterans delivery is something we look forward to every year. The Valentine’s Day cards serve as a reminder to our Veterans that not only do they have the support of VA Hudson Valley, but there’s a whole bunch of people in our community who appreciate their sacrifices too. It feels great to know that we can count on Rep. Maloney’s continued support of VA Hudson Valley and the heroes we serve,” said Dawn Schaal, Medical Center Director, Castle Point VA.
