Putnam County Food Coalition Survey

Putnam County is home to farms and fertile land, and yet residents have trouble accessing nutritious, fresh foods. The recently formed Putnam County Food System Coalition has launched a “food access” survey and invites all residents to share their thoughts. The short online survey will gather information about how people find and purchase foods in Putnam County, NY. The survey will be open only until June 2nd and is anonymous.

To access the survey in English and Spanish, visit: putnam.cce.cornell.edu/food-nutrition/the-putnam-county-food-system-coalition; or to directly access the survey in English click here and Spanish click here

The Putnam County Food System Coalition is led by Cornell Cooperative Extension of Putnam County. Partners include: Second Chance Foods, Putnam CAP, SPACE on Ryder Farm, Putnam County Department of Health, Glynwood Center for Regional Food and Farming and Catholic Charities.

The Coalition envisions a community in which every individual has access to food that is nourishing, culturally appropriate and sustainably produced. This survey will provide this Coalition with information about how Putnam residents access the foods they like to eat and prepare.
