Maloney Community Forum on Gun Control Remained Civil and Civic Minded

On Saturday, March 10th, Representative Sean Patrick Maloney held a community forum on Gun Control at 2pm at the Sheet Metal Worker's Union in Brewster, NY. Representative Maloney gave a brief introduction and opened the floor for comment. Members of the community expressed their concerns and voiced their opinions. Maloney ensured that the forum remained civil and calm.

Emily Simoness stated, "I was very grateful that Representative Maloney created a space on Saturday for dialogue on the issue of guns in our schools. I’m hopeful that the conversations happening around the nation on this issue with bring the country closer to sensible solutions."

"I found the forum educational. I was impressed with his eagerness to hear from all sides," explained Rebecca Rabinowitz, "Useful educated practical solutions were offered as well as emotional responses to proposed changes by some audience members. I felt empowered by the opportunity to talk directly to my representative in congress. I am confident our congressman, Sean Patrick Maloney, listens and represents his voters in Congress. More people should take advantage of these town hall meetings."
