The Brewster Central School District today sent out the following letter to district parents today addressing the recent confirmed case of Coronavirus found at JFK Airport in NYC.

Dear Parent or Guardian:
Please be aware that there is a Public Health Alert regarding the Coronavirus. There was recently a confirmed case of someone who arrived at JFK Airport. Of concern is anyone who has come from mainland China or has been in contact with anyone who has recently returned from mainland China and shows signs of acute illness such as fever, cough, or malaise. Any such index patient should be referred to their local health physician and the public health department for appropriate intervention and evaluation. If you have further concerns or questions, you may contact your school nurse, your doctor, or the Putnam County Department of Health at (845) 808-1390.
