Brewster Schools has an early dismissal today and are closed tomorrow out of caution for Corona Virus

The Brewster Central School District, in an abundance of caution has decided to close the schools early today and close tomorrow due to one of the students having a family member who is exhibiting signs of been infected by the Corona virus. In an emergency alert on their website they stated

Important Message

  • Dear Parent/Guardian of Brewster Central School District Student,

    A family member of a student at Brewster High School is exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19.  In the interest of safety and with the goal of keeping everyone as healthy as possible, we will be dismissing early on Thursday, March 12th and will be closed on Friday, March 13th. All activities are cancelled until Monday pending further notice. This decision was made after close consultation with our school physician and the Putnam County Department of Health.

The dismissal times for Thursday, March 12th are as follows (as close as possible):

Brewster High School - 10:15am
Wells Middle School - 10:10am
C.V. Starr Intermediate School - 11:15am
JFK Elementary School - 11:25am
