Putnam County to hold Drive-Thru Test Event for Covid-19 on April 7th.

The Putnam County Department of Health is holding a drive-thru testing event for the Covid-19 Virus this Tuesday April 7th, from 2pm until 4pm according to Legislature Bill Gouldman of Pleasant Valley. In a Facebook post earlier today, Mr. Gouldman said that the actual site has not yet been chosen but that the county has established a survey for residents to complete to see if they fit the criteria to qualify for testing.

 Criteria includes:

 1. You are Putnam County Resident

2. Exhibit symptoms of the virus

3. Healthcare workers and First responders will be prioritized

4. Take the pre-screening survey

Please note that your proof of residency will be checked at the test site on April 7th as will your proof of employment.

Do NOT call the Health Department regarding the event.  The telephone lines are needed for other questions and guidance. A staff member will call you on Monday April 6th if you meet the criteria for testing AFTER you take the survey.

According to the Putnam County Covid-19 Community Dashboard, there have been 11 deaths in the County attributed to Covid-19 as of 4 pm April 3rd.
