Putnam County officials released their weekly update on Covid-19 in Putnam County last evening. All information provided is from 06/26/2020 through 07/04/2020 and published by Putnam County at 5 pm on Monday July 6th, 2020.
There are now a total of 1542 laboratory confirmed cases of Covid-19 in Putnam County and none of those cases, are actively being monitored by the Putnam County Health Department at the present time. On May 25th there were 45 cases actively being monitored and NO cases are currently in Putnam County Hospital. The Health Department reports that 1532 cases are classified Released or "no longer Isolated/Quarantined". "Released" cases includes cases that tested positive, were quarantined and monitored as well as possible cases that may have been exposed by a close contact with a positive case. No official government agency is actively tracking recovered cases at this time.
Residents between the ages 0-9 have accounted for 28 cases, the 10-19 age bracket has 62. The 20-29 year olds have 173 and 30 to 39 account for 261 cases. The 40-49 age group account for 284, 50-59 account for 317, 60-69 account for 200 while those 70-79 have 111, residents over 80 account for 106 cases. The total of those tested in Putnam County since March 1st is now 18,709.
The New York State Department of Health is reporting 63 deaths due to Covid-19 in Putnam County as of 5pm Monday July 6th, 2020. NY State has not reported any new deaths in Putnam COunty since the last update on June 28th.
