Three arrested after pursuit from Bedford to Beekman in stolen vehicle

On February 3, 2021, the New York State Police arrested Richard W. Holmes Jr., age 22, Moesha Gordon, age 24, both of Waterbury, CT, and Rayvon Holmes, age 20, of Bellport, NY, for Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the 3rd degree, a class D felony, and Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the 4th degree, a class E felony.  Richard Holmes was additionally arrested for Fleeing an Officer in the 3rd degree, a class A misdemeanor, and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the 2nd degree, an unclassified misdemeanor.

At approximately 10:10 p.m., on February 3, 2021, Troopers attempted to conduct a traffic stop of a 2015 Kia Forte for a violation of the vehicle and traffic law on Interstate 684 in the town of Bedford, Westchester County.  The operator of the vehicle failed to comply and led the Troopers northbound on a pursuit reaching speeds over 120 miles per hour.  During the pursuit it was determined the vehicle was reported stolen out of North Haven, CT.  Spike strips were utilized successfully on State Route 22 in the area of Thunder Ridge in Patterson. The vehicle became completely disabled miles away on State Route 55 near Dorn Road in the town of Beekman.

The operator, Richard Holmes Jr., and his two passengers Moesha Gordon and Rayvon Holmes, were taken into custody without further incident.

All three subjects were arraigned before the Honorable Judge Garritto of the town of Beekman Court and released on their own recognizance.
