Putnam County officials have released this week's update on Covid-19 in Putnam County with a new format that provides more information on monitoring the reported cases. All information provided is as of April 16, 2021
There are now 145 Active cases in isolation throughout Putnam County with 5 of those cases Quarantined/Isolated in Putnam County Hospital. There has been no new deaths in the last weeks and the total of deaths in Putnam County attributed to Covid-19 remains at 91. (Source: NYSDOH Covid-19 Tracker as of April 8th.).
25, 585 County residents have now completed 1 form of a vaccine series either the 1 shot Johnson & Johnson (which was discontinued this past Tuesday due to side effects concerns) or the 2 shot Moderna or Pfizer vaccine which represents 28.91% of County residents.
Putnam County has now tested 204,759 persons with 10,134 testing positive since the onset of the pandemic 13 months ago. The County's 7 day rolling average positivity rate now stands at 43.6%.
