Putnam County Schools to receive more police in Response to Texas School Shooting

The Putnam County Sheriff Kevin McConville said this morning that all schools in Putnam County will receive extra police presence for the remainder of the week in response to the school shooting yesterday at the Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas in which 19 students and 2 teachers were killed.

McConville stressed to school officials and the public that at this time there is no known threat(s) to any Putnam County Schools, however the PCSO is taking this step to ensure everyone’s safety and provide students, faculty, staff and parents with peace of mind.
