On February 21, 2018 the New York State Police investigated a fatal motor vehicle crash on Interstate 84 in the town of Southeast involving a passenger vehicle and a tractor trailer.
The operator of the passenger vehicle, Donovan S. Grant, aged 63 years, of Queens, NY, was pronounced deceased on scene.
Initial investigation suggests a Jeep Liberty operated by Grant was traveling on the Interstate 84 eastbound entrance ramp from Interstate 684 northbound. The Jeep Liberty for reasons unknown at this time exited the entrance ramp crossed the eastbound lanes, the center median, then entered the westbound Interstate 84 lanes and struck a tractor trailer.
The New York State Police were assisted on scene by EMStar Medical Transportation, the Village of Brewster Fire Department, the Putnam County Coroner’s Office, and New York State Department of Transportation.
February 21, 2018, the New York State Police from the Brewster barracks are investigating a fatal motor vehicle crash on Interstate 84 westbound east of exit 20 (I-684) that occurred at approximately 3:30 p.m.
