Registration Open: Walk To Help Veterans Experiencing Homelessness

Extend your Independence Day celebration by helping those who fought for our freedom. Join the Step OUT For The Brave 40,000 Step Challenge, presented by the Homes for the Brave organization to help Veterans experiencing homelessness.

The organization’s signature fundraiser allows participants from across the country, and even the world, to participate during the nine-day period from August 6 through August 14. For just $40 participants help homeless Veterans one step at a time and receive a dri-fit event shirt. Please click here to learn more and sign-up.

“Every step you takes helps a Veteran experiencing homelessness, and there are 40,000 right now on any given night in America. By joining our signature fundraiser, whether on your own or as a team, every dollar raised helps them return to meaningful and productive lives,” said Vince Santilli, CEO/Executive Director of Homes for the Brave.

A celebratory kickoff for the event will take place on August 6 at the University of Bridgeport Pedestrian Mall with live entertainment and refreshments. Alyssa Rae Taglia of News Channel 8 will emcee the event, and all participants are welcome.

Since 2002, Homes for the Brave has helped almost 1,500 individuals experiencing homelessness, mostly Veterans, to secure income, find safe and affordable housing, and make meaningful contributions to our community.
