Why Small Businesses Matter
Shop small, do big things for your community
Why Small Businesses Matter puts a spotlight on the local merchants who donate their time, talent, goods, and services for the betterment of our community. The shop local movement spreads virally as local businesses who are “tagged” have the opportunity to share their story!
You're IT Scholastic Renaissance!
Three questions with Norma Stennett, founder of Scholastic Renaissance.
Why did you start your business?
Scholastic Renaissance LLC began in August 2015, as I am passionate about teaching, and the ability to foster creativity in an engaging and stimulating environment is advantageous.
What is your best-selling product/service?
Scholastic Renaissance LLC is a Licensed 24-hour, six days per-week Family Childcare home in Bridgeport. We offer a safe space for children to learn and grow. We accept Care4Kids, and the staff has experience caring for children who have autism spectrum disorder.
Have you "reimagined" your small business?
COVID-19 has brought the importance of childcare to the forefront as parents/guardians struggled to find care. As a licensed family childcare home, our capacity could not meet the demand. Leadership is positioning itself for expansion to serve the request within the community.
Norma would like to nominate Lil Sunshine Family Home daycare to be featured next!
Scholastic Renaissance is located at 102 Cottage Street in Bridgeport. You can also give them a call at 203-727-2527!
