Why Small Businesses Matter
Shop small, do big things for your community
Why Small Businesses Matter puts a spotlight on the local merchants who donate their time, talent, goods, and services for the betterment of our community. The shop local movement spreads virally as local businesses who are “tagged” have the opportunity to share their story!
You're IT Rapha Massage!
Three questions with Lynn Mosher-Howell, founder of Rapha Massage.
Why did you start your business?
I started my practice in 2010 as a result of being laid off from my full-time office job. I was very thankful to have my massage license to fall back on. I have not looked back ever since. In 2022 I was voted one of the top 3 massage practices in the state by Connecticut Magazine.
What is your best-selling product/service?
My best-selling service is my specialty massage using my own Rapha Technique that I created using hot towels. It is designed to give a deep tissue massage without pain during and after the massage.
Have you "reimagined" your small business?
Yes, during Covid. I rearranged my office to sanitize the air better. I used backdrops to close the office and turned it into a garden oasis. I also made the front office an antique drawing room complete with Victorian drapes where there is red light/PEMF therapy.
Lynn would like to nominate Leisha's Bakeria to be featured next!
