Down the Hatch readies for the season

This Sat. 11:30 Apr. 27, come join the fun with a D.J., giveaways and no cover (ever)

It's a perfect weekend to celebrate the season opening of Down the Hatch, Candlewood Lake's only waterfront restaurant, with weather forcasted to be sunny and mild. Come by boat, car or sea plane and experience the casual, fun and friendly atmosphere.

There will be a D.J., dancing on the deck and plenty of fun with i95 Radio all day long. There's never a cover charge and Down the Hatch is famous for fun times and good food. Salads, seafood, burgers and more are served on the long picnic tables, bistro tables, at the bar or picked up at the bar area and eaten on the lower deck. There's also an upstairs dining room for private parties.

New heaters have been installed for the cool nights, when the atmosphere is just as fun, with festive lights and boats coming and going through the evening.

The season begins in April and ends in October. It's a great place to bring the family because parents relax while kids enjoy the "kids menu", feeding ducks and the waterfront atmosphere.

"The Hatch" is open daily at 11:30 a.m. serving lunch and dinner. Located at 292 Candlewood Lake Road, Brookfield CT  (203) 775-6635
