Jersey Mike’s Subs presented a check for $5,500 to Special Olympics Connecticut to support its year-round sports and health and fitness programs for individuals of all abilities. Jersey Mike’s raised the funds by conducting week-long promotions that celebrated the Grand Opening of its newest shops and offered free regular-size subs to every person who made a donation of $1 or more to Special Olympics.
As a follow up, Jersey Mike’s Subs is celebrating the grand opening of its Meriden shop at 533 South Broad Street with a similar promotion at the end of August that will also benefit Special Olympics Connecticut.
“Keeping with the Jersey Mike’s Subs 40-year tradition of giving back to the communities where we do business, Jersey Mike’s Subs of Derby, Brookfield, Branford and all of the Jersey Mike’s in Fairfield County are so proud to support and partner with Special Olympics Connecticut,” said Brian O’Hagen, of Jersey Mike’s. “It is an amazing organization, producing truly amazing athletes and assisting so many people. Thank you so much Special Olympics,” he added.
