The Brookfield Police Department takes great pleasure in welcoming two new officers to our ranks!
Benjamin Gerstenmaier and Bethany Barr enjoyed their first day of work yesterday with a swearing in ceremony at 3:00pm. The ceremony was officiated by First Selectman Steve Dunn with the pair being sworn into service by Town Clerk Joan Locke. The event was attended by retired and current police officers from multiple municipalities, Brookfield town officials, and family and friends.
We would like to wish both Benjamin and Bethany well as they start their training on Friday at the POSTC Academy. Both will attend a rigorous 6 months of basic training and are expected to graduate in September.
