Why is Alexander Hamilton so Popular? Find Out at Brookfield Library on August 8

Come to the Brookfield Library this Wednesday, August 8 at 7:00 p.m. to discover the inspiring story of Alexander Hamilton, who stood for American ideals. Historian and educator Bev York will share an illustrated talk about his contributions, struggles, and tragic death.  After years of being perceived as having only a supporting role, Hamilton’s star has risen, confirming his belief that, “Those who stand for nothing fall for anything.”

For many years, Bev York has lectured on the people and events of the American Revolution and the Industrial Revolution. She has been the director of both the Nathan Hale Homestead and the Mill Museum.
This is One Town, One Read (OTOR) event. Attendees will receive a ticket toward the prize drawings happening on September 8th (grand prize: 2 tickets to Hamilton the musical).
Please register if you will be attending.
