Danbury Music Centre Announces 2020 Virtual Nutcracker Celebration Party on Dec. 12

The Danbury Music Centre is thrilled to announce that on Saturday, December 12, 2020 at 5:30pm, the show will go on!

A virtual Nutcracker Celebration Party has been planned as a way to gather together as a community, celebrate the season, and help support future DMC Nutcracker productions. Artistic Directors Arthur Fredric and Lisa Denton will host the livestream event, which will feature a viewing of the 2019 DMC Nutcracker Ballet preceded by interviews and appearances by special Nutcracker stars and contributors from over the Danbury Music Centre’s many years.

Guests include such Nutcracker royalty as the Mayor of Danbury, Mark Boughton; conductors Ariel Rudiakov, Jim Humphreville, and Richard Price; designers/choreographers Dody Flynn, Arnold Daley, and Peter Petrino; and sit down interviews at intermission with the 2019 Sugar Plum and Cavalier, Clara and Prince, and more.

Donations to view the production begin at $10.00, with a special VIP pre-show party live via Zoom at 5:00PM for contributors of $100 or more. Please visit danburymusiccentre.org or the DMC facebook page for more information and to join the celebration. The Danbury Music Centre will continue to bring the magic of the Nutcracker to the community this year in a truly unique way and allow viewers to enjoy a Danbury tradition that has become a holiday treasure.
