The Brookfield Craft Center’s 8 studios will be open for demonstrations, including the Blacksmith Forge, Pottery, Glass, Woodturning, Fiber and the Modern Craft Studio.
On Saturday, October 15, 2022 from 12-5 pm, art and craft enthusiasts can visit northwestern Connecticut’s historic Brookfield Craft Center to explore over a dozen fine crafts and meet the artists that teach in our studios.
From fused glass-making, wood carving, fiber arts and woodturning to turning bowls in the pottery studio or hammering out steel in the Blacksmith forge, visitors can view demonstrations of crafting techniques, learn about upcoming programs and classes, and visit and shop for handcrafted works in the gallery shop.
“Our open house is a great opportunity for the community to see how enjoyable and accessible our programs are here at the Center,” said Howard Lasser, Executive Director of the Craft Center. “With over two talented artist instructors and a continuously changing lineup of learning opportunities, we have something for everyone.”
The award winning artists at Brookfield Craft Center look forward to sharing their skills and details of programs directly with prospective students. “There are so many learning opportunities here at the Center,” said blacksmith teacher Chris Doherty. “Open House is a fun opportunity for us to demonstrate what students can learn and experience, and answer questions about the types of things we cover. There’s a class for everyone!”
