Join Northwest Connecticut Land Conservancy (NCLC) for a hike at Brick Rocks Preserve in Brookfield on CT Trails Day, Saturday, June 3 from 10am to noon.
The 2-mile hike is moderate with some brief steep sections and will take hikers along the edge of Lake Lillinonah. The trail descends close to the lake but not so close as to disturb an important foraging area for otters, mink, eagles, and osprey.
The trail passes by spruce and white pine plantation, old groves of hemlocks and dogwoods.
