Business Journals Salute CULTEC As One Of Region’s Top Family Businesses

 

 

CULTEC, Inc., of Brookfield will be honored as one of this year’s top Family Owned Businesses in a celebration hosted by the Westchester and Fairfield County Business Journals.

The celebration will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 27, in White Plains, N.Y. Presented by the Westchester and Fairfield County Business Journals, the competition is designed to highlight the exceptional family-owned businesses in the region and the hard work and dedication of generations of family members.

CULTEC has been manufacturing plastic stormwater chambers for construction and residential projects since 1986. Founder Robert DiTullio, Sr., first proposed the idea of a plastic drainage chamber to the state of Connecticut in 1982. Mr. DiTullio still serves as the company’s CEO.

CULTEC’s team includes his wife, Christina, who is CULTEC’s Chief Financial Officer; his son, Robert DiTullio, Jr., who is the company’s Chief Business Development Officer; his daughter, Gina Carolan, who is the Chief Operating Officer and Director of Marketing; and Lisa Lynch, his daughter, who is the Customer Service Supervisor. Long-time employee Fred Dotson was recently named President of the Company.

As the founder of plastic chamber technology, CULTEC is the recognized world leader in offering plastic stormwater drainage solutions for the construction industry. The business has also supported many charitable causes via donations and through the creation and hosting of fundraising events. Most notably, CULTEC has been the Connecticut presenting sponsor of the St. Jude Walk/Run to End Childhood Cancer for the past seven years, has created the Happy Healthy Kid Program and has hosted fundraisers for the Vanishing White Matter Families Foundation and Toys for Tots.

The celebration marks the fifth-time family-owned businesses have been honored by Westfair Communications, publishers of the business journals.
