A Socrates Cafe will be held at The Brookfield Library on Monday, February 26, 2018 from 7:00 - 8:30 p.m.
Please register for this adult discussion group. If you register and then cannot attend, please let us know (203-775-6241). Group is limited to twenty participants and there are still a few openings.
Socrates Cafes are gatherings around the world where people from different backgrounds get together and exchange thoughtful ideas and experiences while embracing the central theme of "Socratizing," the idea that we learn more when we question and question with others.
Meeting topics are suggested by those present, and one subject is selected by group consensus. The remainder of the time is spent exploring the topic. Most people find they have lots to think about and say, more than they imagined, throughout the course of the discussion. Others may prefer to simply listen. Our Socrates Cafes are being led by experienced facilitator Loretta Donovan. Loretta has twenty-eight years of experience as a facilitator and has taught inquiry-based facilitation at Columbia University. She also certifies others in strength-based facilitation.
The Brookfield Library is located at 182 Whisconier Road in Brookfield, CT 06804.
