The Connecticut Pops Concert Band is recruiting for 2018-19 membership!
The band is in residence at Naugatuck Valley Community College under the direction of Allan Dabkowski, and is open to wind musicians of intermediate to advanced playing ability from the greater Waterbury-Danbury area. Informal auditions are held during the first three rehearsals of the season, August 28th through September 11th.
Interested players are invited to come and play with the band for two or three rehearsals to see if it is a good fit before committing to membership. The band rehearses on Tuesday evenings from 7:15-9:30 in the Mainstage auditorium of NVCC, 750 Chase Parkway in Waterbury. Three concerts are performed each year, one in December and two in May. At this time the band is particularly seeking those who play percussion, trombone, tuba, trumpet, and clarinet, however, any interested musician is welcome to audition.
