State Grant received to complete a Mosaic Mural at the Brookfield Senior Center in November

The Senior Center Mosaic Mural will be similar to the one at Town Hall, shown in the image, and smaller in scale.

Over the last year and a half, we’ve had to cancel many things and miss so much time with friends and family. This project is all about gathering safely to celebrate all we do have and our hope for the future and is entitled “Renewal”.

With the support of the Department of Economic and Community Development, Office of the Arts, which also receives support from the federal ARPA, Joanne Hunter of The Art Spot has been awarded a state grant to complete a mosaic mural with the Brookfield Senior Center.

The mural concept is being developed, the art work will begin fabrication in November. This will be a joyful collaboration among staff, seniors, friends and families throughout the holiday season. What better gift could we give ourselves than to jointly create something beautiful to greet you every time you enter the Center.
