Brookfield High School Environmental Club Tree-Plenish, community tree planting day on May 1

The Brookfield High School Environmental Club is organizing a Tree-Plenish event this upcoming spring! Club E is an environmental-based club at Brookfield High that is run predominantly by students.

Using formulas created and provided to us by “Tree-Plenish”, we are determined to make up for our paper usage by attempting to plant 150 tree saplings.

The community tree planting day is going to take place on May 1, 2022. On top of needing sapling recipients, we also need help on the day of planting! Due to logistics, we will be planting trees only in Brookfield.

There are three different sapling choices you can choose from, all three have been pre-determined by us to ensure they are native to the area and will be able to survive. The choices include Red Maple, Sugar Maple, and Northern Red Oak Tree, saplings cost five dollars per sapling and you are not limited to just one. There will be more information to follow as we get closer to the plant date.

Thank you so much for your interest, don’t forget to check out our website for more information and the sapling/volunteer request forms. The order form closes on April 1, 2022. If you have any questions, please email the Club Advisor, Gerry Casadei at casadeig@brookfieldps.org
