First Selectman Steve Dunn's Brookfield Spotlight: World Headquarters, Streetscape Grant, Budget, New School, and More!

February Brookfield Spotlight from First Selectman, Steve Dunn

Brookfield Chosen for New World Headquarters

Brookfield has been selected as the new world headquarters for a division of a Fortune 500 company. After many months of negotiations, they will construct a $53 million, 140,000-square-foot building in Berkshire Corporate Park. We estimate that this development will generate approximately $1.2 million annually in new taxes.

$1 million grant won for Phase III of the Downtown Streetscape

We have been awarded a $1.06 million grant to build Phase III of the Streetscape, planned for Laurel Hill Road and Old Route 7. The total estimated project cost is $1.3 million, so the town has committed to paying the additional $240,000. Construction is planned for the spring of 2021.
