The Concert Band at Eastern Connecticut State University is amid its fall 2019 season of performance. This instrumental ensemble performs classic band literature as well as challenging works from contemporary composers.
Among the student performers are Julia Montville '21 of Brookfield, who majors in Communication and Music and plays the Euphonium.
With many talented students, faculty, alumni, local music educators and musicians from the area, the Concert Band presents several concerts during each academic year and is led by Eastern Professor Kelly Watkins.
Eastern's Music Program supports a variety of musical ensembles, small and large, classical and non-classical. Ensemble experience teaches valuable lessons in teamwork, commitment and individual responsibility. Ensembles are open to all eastern students regardless of major.
