Community is not Canceled
Neighbors helping neighbors, community members reaching out to our local senior citizens, residents supporting our heroic first responders -the inspiring stories and acts of kindness brought forth by our current crisis are extraordinary. What's more, small businesses, local nonprofits, and civic organizations are innovating to stay connected and serve the community.
Community is not Canceled, a series made possible by LIFEWTR will showcase Connecticut's awesome response to this unprecedented situation. We are in this together. Stay strong.
We’re Going on a Bear Hunt in Brookfield!
Brookfield Library wants to bring our community closer together during this time of social isolation. "With families now practicing social distancing, getting out for a walk or drive has taken on a whole new meaning," they say.
Whether you have children or now, Brookfield Library is asking residents to place a stuffed bear (or other stuffed animal) in your window, porch, or yard. Children can "go on a bear hunt" and count all of the bears they find in the community!
You are encouraged to visit Brookfield Library Bear Hunt Facebook Page and post a photo of you or your child reading to a stuffed animal. Use the hashtag #Broofieldbearhunt
Happy hunting!
