Creativity Connects Brookfield: Meet Anne McClelland, Chef and Owner, The First Bite Catering

Creativity Connects Brookfield

What fuels a vibrant, connected, and creative community? What makes people feel good about living in Brookfield?

When locals share the creativity that they uncover in the nooks and crannies of their community it brings about connectivity and makes us all feel good. Believe it or not, you discover creativity every day as you walk, shop, work, and play in Brookfield.

Creativity connects us.

Meet Brookfield chef Anne McClelland, owner, The First Bite Catering.

Tell us about an organization in your town that makes you feel good

BTC4B - Brookfield Town Center for Business is a wonderful, community-focused organization that sponsors the block parties, the annual holiday tree lighting, the new pocket park and many other events. In addition to helping local business support, they are a philanthropic organization that truly makes Brookfield a great place to live!

Where do you go for inspiration and creativity?

For inspiration, I listen to the community! There are so many things to celebrate in life and LOVE being a part of that. During this pandemic some people are nervous about eating out, so we bring restaurant-quality meals and experiences into their homes. We are hoping to open up our cooking classes soon as well! We also offer private classes. For those home cooks in need of better tools, we sell the entire line of Wusthof cutlery which also makes a lasting gift for anyone!  Collaboration is key!  We teamed with another local business in the area that does professional knife sharpening. So call us for your small-scale events and dinner parties and enjoy being a guest at your next event.

What do you love about your community?

The support and warm welcome I received when opening my first storefront in Brookfield was amazing. We appreciate everyone shopping local and remembering businesses like mine for high quality, fresh catering dishes and packaged meals. We love bringing the restaurant experience to you!

I still see so many of those loyal clients on a regular basis and feel like we all work together for the common good of our wonderful town.
