Creativity Connects Brookfield: Meet Christina Inzero of Candlewood Coffee, Musician, Reader, and Coffee Drinker

Creativity Connects Brookfield

What fuels a vibrant, connected, and creative community? What makes people feel good about living in Brookfield?

When locals share the creativity that they uncover in the nooks and crannies of their community it brings about connectivity and makes us all feel good. Believe it or not, you discover creativity every day as you walk, shop, work, and play in Brookfield.

Creativity connects us.

Meet Christina Inzero, part of a family-run coffee roastery called Candlewood Coffee in Brookfield. Christina plays piano, loves to read and (of course) is an avid coffee drinker. Christina is responsible for running Candlewood Coffee's main roaster.

Is there an organization in town that makes you feel good?

I like Pete Brady's organization "Handy Dandy Handy Man" because it motivates a great number of people to get together for many causes where people are unable to help themselves.

HDHM history: On January 24, 1999, Peter A. Brady was attending Sunday Mass at his Parish Church, Saint Joseph Catholic in Brookfield CT. and the Pastor was delivering his homily on the wonderful works of Saint Peter. Listening attentively, Peter Brady wrote a note to Fr. Larry Carroll suggesting that he be a Handy Man for the Seniors in the parish community on a part time basis doing all the work on a no charge basis. Peter later met with the management of the church to discuss the principle of the Ministry, and the Handy Dandy Handyman Ministry was born.

I also like the Toy Drive the Brookfield Police does every Christmas season. It gives another opportunity for people to be a blessing with giving to those that may not have the resources for gifts during the Giving Season.

Where do you go for inspiration and creativity?

In the summer, I enjoy going out on the lake in a kayak, motorboat, sailboat, or jet ski (depending on my mood!)

Being out on the water makes you concentrate on the moment, and enjoy the natural beauty and wildlife that goes unnoticed when you are driving.
