Danbury Public Schools appoints interim principal at Danbury Primary Center in Brookfield

Danbury Public Schools has appointed Janet Sayegh as interim principal for the Danbury Primary Center in Brookfield. The school will accommodate kindergartners from South Street, Ellsworth Avenue and Stadley Rough elementary schools.

The center at 5 Obtuse Hill Road in Brookfield assumes the former location of St. Joseph School in Brookfield.

A teacher in Danbury for 13 years, Sayegh has most recently served as a lead teacher at Pembroke School. She as also served as a Delta aspirant, POG Coalition member and co-summer school coordinator.

“Janet is a team player, an active listener, an excellent communicator, and a supportive colleague,” said Interim Superintendent Kevin Walston. “She is highly organized and responsible, as well as compassionate, fair, honest and genuine. Her appointment is another excellent opportunity to promote another talented faculty from our dedicate school community.”

Sayegh’s new position started July 1.
