Regional Hospice Celebrates the Life of Brookfield's Bill Leverence

Regional Hospice Memorial Golf Classics Returns to the Links

After a challenging year of event cancellations and postponements Regional Hospice, of Western CT, held their 10th Annual Memorial Golf Classic on Monday, October 4, at the Salem Golf Club in North Salem, New York (practically just a putt away from the CT border). The event was held to raise essential funds to support the $1.8 million that Regional Hospice provides in free, unreimbursed care and invaluable services for patients as they approach the end of their lives.

This year, the golf outing honored Bill Leverence, a longtime Brookfield, CT resident, who spent the end of his life under the caring support of Regional Hospice’s staff and volunteers at the residential Center for Comfort Care & Healing. Bill’s wife Sandy Leverence attended the event along with 120 golfers and Regional Hospice staff.

This celebration included a welcome return to socializing, with fantastic foursomes, cocktails, dinner, an auction, a raffle and live music. If you’re interested in knowing more about Regional Hospice please visit: makingthebestofeveryday.org.
