Reapers Women's Tackle Football Team Holds Tryouts Tomorrow in Danbury

Tryouts for Reapers football team tomorrow, Saturday, October 9^th!

Our next season starts in spring, 2022.  We’d love to have you join us!  Tryouts are Saturday, October 9^th at Great Plain Elementary School field, 10 Stadley Rough Road, Danbury, CT 06810 between the hours of 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.

The Reapers Football Team is a not-for-profit organization established by women who value and promote empowerment, respect, and positive advancement for all females in activities and sports.  Our players live and work throughout the tri-state area.

Women’s semi-professional, full-contact football is one of the fastest-growing sports in the U.S. Its focus is to support sports participation while promoting healthy development and positive role models for young female athletes.  Football is already a national pastime and wonderful family entertainment.  With the inclusion of semi-professional women’s football, the possibilities are limitless.

Based in Danbury, The Reapers provide a football program to meet female athletes’ needs in cooperation with the Women’s Tackle Football League (WTFL).  Presently, the WTFL is a national league with approximately 30 participating teams. 

By becoming part of our team, you’ll continue to grow a community program that assimilates The Reapers with local organizations and businesses to provide positive examples of semi-professional women athletes.  All events are family oriented to promote team continuity and grow a strong fan base in cooperation with our supporters.  Reaper home games are played at New Fairfield High School, home of the Rebels, 54 Gillotti Road, New Fairfield, CT 06812.
