Brookfield COVID Test Kit Delivery Update

Brookfield intends to distribute Covid Test Kits to the community, once they are received from the State. We were advised today that the delivery to Connecticut has been delayed and therefore MAY put off our intended distribution until Friday.

State officials informed our town leadership tonight that the plane from California has not yet departed for Bradley International. This is a developing situation, largely controlled by the State and we are reacting as best we can with the limited information we have.

Our town Distribution Plan will be announced via Code Red, our town website, social and traditional media, and other communications channels once it has been firmly established. I ask for your continued patience and flexibility if we do shift delivery from tomorrow afternoon until Friday. We are still hopeful the shipment could arrive overnight and distribution will still operate tomorrow.

We will continue to notify you of any information we receive regarding this shipment as soon as we receive it. Our distribution location will still be at the high school on a first come, first serve basis. Please know there is a limit of 2 kits per household while the supply of 2000 kits allocated last. We will also ask for proof of residency (driver’s license will suffice).
