Services planned for Raymond T. Nobes, 57, Brookfield VFD Honorary Chief and longtime paramedic

Raymond T. Nobes, Tim, died peacefully in his home surrounded by his loving family on June 22, 2022, after a valiant two-year battle against pancreatic cancer. He was 57 years old.

Born on May 4, 1965, in Stamford, CT son of the late Raymond F. and Jane (Mahoney) Nobes. He graduated from Danbury High School in 1983 and continued his education at Mt. Saint Mary College in Maryland receiving his bachelor’s degree in Political Science and International Relations. Tim honorably served in the U.S Army. Tim was married to the love of his life, Linda, for 14 years.

Tim was a proud member of the Ridgefield Fire Department for 20 years before retiring in 2021, as well as an on-staff paramedic for the Brookfield Volunteer Fire Department for nearly two decades where he was awarded Honorary Chief in May 2022.

Tim was genuinely dedicated to his career as a paramedic and firefighter. Tim had a passion for teaching. He instructed numerous firefighter and EMS classes, including his work with East Coast Tactical Medicine. He loved to help others and was considered a mentor to many, whenever you needed help Tim was always there. Tim was an avid bird watcher turned photographer. He loved to share his photos and encouraged others to enjoy nature’s beauty. Tim was a natural artist, he was a great drawer and loved to sketch.

Tim is survived by his loving wife, Linda, his children; Eilish Nobes, Allie Clement (Kyle), Danny Clement, and Kara Clement, and his siblings; Jane Brennan (Ed), Beth O’Brien, Sharon Von Gal (Tim), Susan Penn (Jeff), his brother in law Jim Boyle and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister Barbara Boyle.

A celebration of life gathering will be held on Sunday, July 10th at Danbury Memorial Funeral Home (117 South Street, Danbury) from 1-4 pm. To light a candle in his memory or leave a condolence, please visit the tribute wall at www.danburymemorial.com
