Give the gift of craft this holiday season and support the Brookfield Craft Center

Look to Brookfield Craft Center’s Holiday Sale for Unique, Hand-Crafted Gifts

As community members gear up for seasonal shopping, the Brookfield Craft Center’s 44th Annual Holiday Sale will kick off with a bang on Saturday, November 9 and run through December 31.  Each year, an amazing mix of one-of-a-kind hand crafted gifts – from holiday ornaments to woodcrafts, glass crafts and jewelry, to pottery, fiber works, and so much more are featured during this exceptional shopping event. Gift seekers can shop tax free at a meet-the-artists preview party that will be held in the BCC’s Gallery Shop located at 286 Whisconier Rd. on Friday, November 8 from 5-8 pm.

This must-visit sale and exhibit of local and national uniquely crafted selections has drawn hundreds of visitors from across the Northeast every year for over 40 years. “So many people look forward to exploring our sale. They travel from across the east coast to view and purchase items that just can’t be found anywhere else.  Whether you are looking for a functional pottery piece, a funky hat or scarf to keep you warm, stunning blown or fused glass decorative items, or a stand-out piece of jewelry, we have these items and more at all prices,” said Jillian Doherty, Craft Center Gallery Manager.

Buying from the BCC is a great way to support talented artisans while also finding the perfect holiday gift for that special person in your life. A Shop Local Saturday sale, featuring a 15% discount for BCC members will take place on November 30 from 10 am until 5 pm.

“Shopping Brookfield Craft Center during our Holiday Sale and all year round not only gives you an opportunity to buy a very special gift, and it helps to sustain a nationally recognized center for fine craft and to support fine craft artists both locally and from across the United States,” said Howard Lasser, Executive Director.  “Our institution is dedicated to advancing the skills of fine craftsmanship, supporting artists, fostering creativity, building community and preserving our historic campus for future generations to enjoy. Every purchase made in our gallery store helps us move towards these goals.”

Gallery shop hours from November 9 through December 31 are Mondays through Fridays from 12-5, Saturdays from 11-5, and Sundays 12-4 pm.
