Brookfield Democrats Announce Meet the Candidates Event on Sunday

The Brookfield Democratic Town Committee (BDTC) is hosting an event to meet the candidates running for election.

On Sunday, September 10th Brookfield voters are invited to the Brookfield Craft Center from 1:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. for an afternoon with the Row A team. Candidates for Board of Selectmen, Board of Finance, Board of Education, and Land use will be on hand to speak with residents. Hors d'oeuvres and drinks will be provided.

In attendance will be Debbie Brooks (BOE), Mary Cappiello (BOE), Andrea DiStephan (Town Clerk), Rosa Fernandes (BOE), Eileen Koch (BOF), Jen Laden (BOE), and Sue Slater (BOS). More attendees will be announced as the date approaches.

The candidates running for office in November are as follows:

Board of Selectmen incumbents Steve Dunn and Sue Slater will seek re-election.

The Board of Education candidates include Debbie Brooks, Mary Cappiello, Jen Laden, and Rosa Fernandes who was recently appointed to the board.

The Board of Finance candidates include Lisa Erman, Eileen Koch, Ricky Ramos, Alan Walp, and John Pitt who was appointed to the board in July.

The candidates for Planning Commission are Paul Barba and Bruce Macdonald. Both Paul and Bruce are Planning Commission alternates.

The Zoning Commission candidates are Chris Barnes and Tony Fernandes who currently serves as an alternate.

The candidates for Zoning Board of Appeals are Joe Fuccillo who is a current member of the board, Louise Trojanowski-Marconi, and Juliana Zach who currently serves as an alternate.

The candidates for Board of Assessment Appeals are Julie Kerton and Julie Blick who currently serves on the board.

The Town Clerk candidate is Andrea DiStephan.
