Brookfield GOP Seeks Candidates

Justices of the Peace, Registrar of Voters to be nominated at May 26th Caucus 

The Brookfield Republican Town Committee (BRTC) is seeking candidates for Justice of the Peace and a nominee to be the party’s Registrar of Voters for the 2021-25 term. The Republican Party may nominate up to thirty-three (33) of Brookfield’s 100 Justices of the Peace.

The BRTC’s Vacancy Committee will conduct interviews with interested candidates during the first two weeks in May and present a slate of nominees to the full 25-member Republican Town Committee at its regular meeting on May 19th. The RTC’s recommendations will be presented to a caucus open to all registered Republicans on May 26th(location and time TBD).  Justices of the Peace selected at the caucus will begin their 4-year term of service in January of 2021. The candidate for Registrar will appear on the ballot with the Presidential Election this November 3rd.
