Serious Motor Vehicle Accident on Route 7 North in Brookfield

Danbury Fire Department reports that at 1:20 am this morning, February 10th, the Brookfield Volunteer Fire Company requested the assistance of Danbury for a serious motor vehicle accident on Route 7 North in Brookfield.

Two vehicles had collided and both subsequently rolled over, with a total of six injured people involved. The Danbury Fire Department, under command of Deputy Chief Bernie Meehan responded with Car 30, Engine 24, Squad 1, a City EMS Ambulance, and a Danbury Ambulance Service unit, the Fire Department says.

According to Danbury Fire Department, their team worked alongside Brookfield's responders to remove two victims from one vehicle and assisting with the treatment and transport of the other four victims. Once all victims were cared for, the two Danbury EMS units, along with two Brookfield Ambulances transported patients to Danbury Hospital.

Danbury firefighters assisted EMS to the hospital as well. Within approximately twenty minutes the patients had been transported from the scene, and all Danbury units returned to Danbury.

The Brookfield Fire Department remained on scene to assist the Connecticut State Police, Troop A, while they investigated the accident.
