*Editor's note: our hearts and prayers are with the Brookfield Police Department and their K-9 partner, Major in the wake of this health diagnosis.
With much sadness, we would like to inform everyone that our beloved K9 Major has been diagnosed with Lymphoma. We have been told life expectancy is between one and three months, yet we are hopeful he will beat those odds.
Currently, Major's working status is day-to-day as his handler Corporal Kyek has decided as long as he is capable they will still work patrol because that is what Major loves to do.
Please keep Major and Corporal Kyek in your thoughts and prayers as they navigate through this tough time.
We know a lot of you have met Major over the years and if you have taken a picture of him or with him please share it in the comments!
