Although the Kent Library building is closed, the librarians are still at work, answering phone messages (call 845-225-8585 and leave a message), creating online programs (go to kentlibrary.org and click on the calendar for a schedule ) and making sure that ebooks, downloadable audiobooks, magazines, streaming video, Universal Class courses, and other online resources are available through kentlibrary.org.
Many Kent Library patrons have already received technical help from Don on Saturday mornings, benefiting from his patience, creativity and wide knowledge of technology. If you are facing new challenges as you work from home, seek to practice social distancing, etc., help from Don is now just an email, text, or phone call away. Help is available for computers, phones and tablets using Windows, Apple or Android systems. To set up a help session, contact Don Fitzmahan at dftechman@gmail.com, or text or phone-845-202-3342. Help is available for solving problems or learning new things such as grocery shopping online, online banking, using video chats, etc.
Our wireless Internet connection is available from the library parking lot. For the best connection, park as close to the library as possible, and always stay at least 6 feet away from others.
All checked out books and other items have been renewed until May 1. Please do not return checked out items or donate books to the library at this time.
