Putnam County sees an increase of over 500 new Covid-19 Cases last week

All information provided is as of Friday December 11, 2020. (Close of business)


 

There has been an increase of over 500 positive cases of Covid-19 since Putnam County officials released last week's dashboard on 12/4/2020.  The total number of confirmed positive cases since the start of the pandemic now stands at 3,671 which is an increase of 507 since last week. 

There as 203 active cases currently being monitored by the Putnam County Department of Health, an increase of 50 cases last week

There are now a total of 3,164 laboratory confirmed cases of Covid-19 in Putnam County and 15 of those cases are actively being monitored by the Putnam County Hospital as in-patients.  The Health Department reports that 3468 (457) cases are classified Released and considered "no longer Isolated/Quarantined" as of Friday December 11, 2020. "Released" cases includes cases that tested positive, were quarantined and monitored as well as possible cases that may have been exposed by a close contact with a positive case. No official government agency is actively tracking recovered cases at this time.

The New York State Department of Health is reporting the Countywide death total has sadly increased to 66 with 2 deaths in the last week.
