<div><span style="font-size: 14pt;">A Mahopac woman pleaded guilty in a fatal drunk driving accident that happened in June of 2021.</span></div>

<div><span style="font-size: 14pt;">According to Putnam County DA Robert Tendy, Maggie Deperna, 37, (Nee Mercadante) pleaded guilty to aggravated vehicular homicide.</span></div>
<div>&nbsp;</div>
<div><span style="font-size: 14pt;">Authorities say she was driving on South Lake Boulevard in Mahopac when she struck 61-year-old James Crecco, of Carmel. He later died of injuries caused by the incident.</span></div>

<div><span style="font-size: 14pt;">Deperna was arrested the next day after she was stopped for allegedly driving while intoxicated in a different car.</span></div>
<div>&nbsp;</div>
<div><span style="font-size: 14pt;">She faces 6 to 18 years in prison when she is sentenced on March 30.</span></div>
